Educational Activities 23.11.2011.
The Museum has been running intensive educational activities for several years.
Our offer is aimed at different age groups (from children of pre-school age to secondary education teenagers) and covers various thematic activities from specialist topics within the range of history, archaeology, history of art, ethnography, to past issues of the Bochnia region within the broadly comprehended regional path.
Activities in the Museum are based on the Museum’s own collections, which significantly improves classes when teenagers can see or touch a number of exhibits, some of which are seldom displayed.
Activities are adjusted to different age groups in order to attract interest and to teach as well as encourage teenagers to visit museums.

We are presently offering the following activities in the Museum:

Within the school year 2008/2009 the Museum dedicated to Stanisław Fischer in Bochnia would like to invite pre-school pupils and children from classes 0, I, II, and III in primary schools in Bochnia and the region for special museum lessons. The aim of the first lesson is to acquaint the youngest members with the concept and history of the museum, the museum facility and exposition themes. Visits to the museum are combined with games and activities involving children in expressing verbal and graphical definitions and descriptions of the museum. Subsequent lessons chronicle the town’s history, basic awareness of painting or architecture, etymology of names and surnames, old photography, the region’s archaeology and holiday customs (Easter and Christmas).
Estimated lesson duration time ranges from  90 to 120 minutes (it is possible to shorten the lesson by previous agreement). The cost is PLN 2 per child, with free admittance for chaperones.  The presence of a chaperone (a teacher) during lessons is obligatory. Groups cannot exceed  30 people. Children must bring indoor footwear to change into.
Lesson applications are received personally, by telephone (612-32-85; fax:612-24-26) or by electronic mail ( within the museum’s working hours (i.e. from 8.00 till 15.30) by Ms Anetta Stachoń. Seven days notice should be given to agree lesson duration time.

Enjoy a visit to our museum !
